Matt Whitaker

Status: Departed

“Do they have a biblical view of justice? As long as they [do], they’ll be a good judges. If they have a secular world view… I’m going to be very concerned.”

—Matt Whitaker, on what he believes should be required to be a judge in the United States.

Fmr. Attorney General of the United States (Acting)
Apr. 28, 2017 – July 19, 2019

A former board member of a now-shuttered company accused of fraudulent business practices, Matt Whitaker has long maintained the corrupt credentials that are all but required to work in the Trump administration.

As the executive director of a tax-exempt organization with undisclosed donors, Whitaker’s salary was the organizations largest expense by far (a salary – it bears reminding – paid by donors unknown of unknown origin).

Following Fox News appearances in which he defended the president from all accusations, Whitaker managed to win the approval of the president, whereupon he found himself thrust into the spotlight as Trump bypassed Senate confirmation procedures, instead directly appointing him as his the ‘acting’ attorney general.
